I know it's always good to get references for finding a good day care or boarding kennel if you have to go out of town and what not, but is there an organization that helps promote reputable places like these? I read about IPATA as far as reputable shippers, but don't know of any organization for kennels.

IMO ....
I haven't heard of any organization or kennels like that but in my opinion, the best way to find a good safe boarding facitlity or doggie daycare is good old fashioned leg work, look up all the places in your area through the phone book yellow pages then visit them each, watch how the staff are with the animals, do they treat them respectfully and gently, is it clean with no harsh smells, do the dogs look happy are they playing and having fun or are they afraid, do they have the room to separate dogs by size or activity level, what are their vaccination requirements, make sure they let you see both the doggie daycare areas and the boarding facilities so you can see how they are taken care of and make sure its kept nice and clean, talk to the staff ask them for client references and talk to them .... it's time consuming but worth the effort in the end to make sure your baby is safe when and if you have to leave him/her.
good luck!!!!

Good post. Also, make a surprise visit
if they are accomadating, they have nothing to hide. If they tell you they are busy or you have to make an appointment, forget them.
Facility should be quiet except for play, kennels should be separated by walls, not fencing.
There is a place close to me that I walked into one day to check it out. I chatted with the owners and employees for several minutes, the place was so quiet, I thought they were empty. Not until they took me on a tour did I see that they were nearly full. The kennels were walled with glass doors, a good size, comfortable beds, clean water dishes and they had a water fall down the middle of the room. A very peaceful, well run business. Dogs were content, no stress barking. I recommend them to anyone looking for a boarding facilty.

Any Bulldog Experience
I'd also ask about their experience with bulldogs and those references. Climate control is another important thing to ask about, as well as their feeding procedure, your food, 2x daily, etc.
If you have a local bulldog club consult the members as well as a local bulldog rescue group. Sometimes I find the best people are not the big commercial boarding facilities but a small business doggie sitter, but that is usually in your home.
Here is my vets facilities. Beautiful and very expensive. Indoor play area, these is also an outdoor play area. Of course they won't put dogs together if you ask they not be.
Indoor Suites - They also have runs separate from the suites if you just want a run.
Wow your vet's facility looks amazing! Do you have more pics?
