Any good suggestions for puppy treats? We bought some natural dog biscuits not realizing they would be almost as big as the puppy. I need something that can be put in the crate as a reward.

We are working on limiting his finger and toe fetish. LOL Do you think a puppy can handle a piece of a milk bone? I can't tell without opening the box and the grocery store manager would probably frown on me opening all their boxes. :-D

a lot of treats, I suggest using their dog food. Maybe take out a 1/4 to 1/2 of his daily food and use that. Makes it easy to monitor how much and what he is eating on a daily basis. You can soak the food in chicken broth or a little peanut butter to make it "special" tasting. I have put dog food and chopped hot dogs or hamburg in a zip-lock bag, left in the refrig overnight-makes a great treat. Flavors and softens the kibble.

Our vet just recommended using his dog food but your idea with the chicken broth or peanut butter sounds more appealing. Jack seems content to do his business outside and just receive praises. His only real issue at the moment is learning to sleep in his crate at night. Since I started giving him a bite of cheese each time he goes in, he seems to not mind it so much. But your idea is much better than the cheese, I was just desperate at 2 am.
Fingers and toes... oh THOSE kinda treats
We use pieces of Milk Bones, they seem to work good for us, you can buy little ones, or get a big one and break it down.

For training
I had good luck with cutting up little pieces of hot dog and zapping them in the microwave. =)
During a period of time when you are going to be using

That's what I did
Kibble for rewards and Bully Bites (freeze dried liver - yuck!) for training. Worked for us.
Great idea
