Let me tell ya.....Kippah took to pumpkin like vultures congregate over a road kill opossum! She flipped out over it. Sunday she all of a sudden had diarreah. Not sure why, she does not get people food, but she must have nabbed something. She was a spewing fountain for a couple hours. I was a little worried but thankful that she seemed to feel fine, and did not vomit at all. So we went to the store and got some more pumpkin. I thought I would be doing well to get 2 TBL down her, I finally cut her off at 4 TBL, she was eating from a spoon in my lap, and I could not get it to her soon enough. By the time were were done she had pumpkin stains on her face. She laid down a took a nap and when she got up we took her out. She was a little 'soft' and then the next time she was fine.
That night I had made a pumpkin orange butter (can of pumpkin, jar of marmelade, lemon zest and grated ginger simmered, then cooled) It is fantastic with cheese and crackers, and we love to dip grilled cheese sammiches in it! Well miss Kippah smelled the pumpkin and I finally had to remove her from the room, she would not settle down and behave!
So while it is easy to find in the grocery store I am going to nab a few real pumpkins, bake them off, and freeze them in ice cube trays. That way I will have a zip lock of easy pumpkin fixes, and I imagine Kippah will find a way to fake the runs so she can get more!

Yeah I would remove the seeds, I would also freeze it for people food too, IF Kippah will share
Didnt think of Yogurt, would be good to follow up with a little of that since she had some tummy issues. We always have plain greek yogurt in the house, I use it for tons of stuff.
