Fatboy has had issues with phlegm for as long as we've had him. Lemon doesn't work and the vet only suggested to give benedryl (which never made sense to me and never worked). Tonight he started to cough up what looked like phlegm. It looked yellowish but when I wiped it up it was clear and foamy. And since this incident he's been trying to cough up more, but it sounds more like it's trying to come out of his nose and chest. It's like he is sneezing but it's not a sneeze. It's more like when you try to blow something out of your nose really hard (just not as long sounding).
I hope I'm making sense and someone can give some advise. I feel like the vet (an approved bully vet) didn't really look into the issue. And since I just got hired on with a new job, I can't take him to any vet until next Saturday.

A few questions
How old is he?
Does he throw up white foam?
Does he throw up or just sound congested?
If the benadryl didn't help, you can try Zyrtec. But, never give the Zyrtec D or any other "D" medicines. You can also try a vaporizer and see if that will help.
But, it sounds to me like it could be a palate issue.
He is a year and 8 months. When he got sick last night it
looked like white/yellowish foam, but there was no actual food he threw up. He does sound congested and it drives me crazy because I can tell he's bothered by it; especially at night.
I had a feeling it was the palate. I'll take him in to get it checked out next weekend. I just wish I would have done this sooner.

I don't really have knowledge of
the many different things that cause this, but
Kofi was throwing up like that when she had the hunger pukes. I now feed her twice a day and not to early in the evening.
Just thought I'd share that info, just in case.
I hope it is something that simple.
Fatboy you feeling better?
I just saw mommy and daddy post :) ya doing better?? I hope you are :)
