We adopted our bullldog on Monday. She is 4 years old. She was mostly kept in a crate and I am not sure how much interaction she had with people on a daily basis. She is such a sweet girl and she is an angel during the day. Night time is a whole other story! We have not slept sice we got her. First we tried putting her crate next to our bed on my side. We put a towel in there with her to lay on and she peed on the towel. We cleaned everything, took the towel out and then listened to her nails on the crate all night. She kept getting up and moving, then licking her paws. The next night we tried the towel again and she loved it and slept for most of the night, just woke us up licking quite a few times. We tried this again the next night and she again kept moving around and licking. During the day she sleeps on a bed we had gotten for her so last night I tried to put the bed in our room instead of the crate. She passed out for 2 hours then was up and pacing around the room. Then we bought the crate in and she refused to stop licking or settle down. Finally we moved the crate from our room into the spare room next door and she licked and moved around all night. She has no problem sleeping during the day but get so worked up at night.
Any advice on what to do with her at night and how to get her to stop marking at night? She doesnt mark at all during the day.
