Hoping someone out there can give a bit of useful advice on this topic. Nine week old male puppy, coming along with his training, although challenging, seems to be peeing an awful lot. We have left a bowl of water down for him to drink at any time when he is not in his crate. He usually drinks a bunch in between being chased, or chasing us around. Are we overwatering him? He goes outside, relieves himself, only to come in and pee in his bed or on the kitchen floor. Again, just wondering if we are doing something wrong??????
His drinking is normal, as is the piddling. He is just a baby...
He is only 9 weeks old and needs many little pottie breaks throughout the day. The youngsters just can't hold piddle in their little bladders for long. I would let him out every hour or two if feasible, really heap praise on him for piddling outdoors. He will get the idea that outside is piddle property, inside is not.
But mostly, just remember he is a baby and will need extra time before he figures it all out:-)
