We got the Animal Edition about 6-7 years ago (it has extra attachments, and a power head for stairs)
There are a few products that I'll brag about (One being my Toyota Tacoma 4X4 Truck) the other is our Dyson -
a few of the plastic pieces and a rubber type gasket needed replacing, but that is normal wear and tear - and they were easy to order online.
If you can, look for 'an open box special' or a 'factory Refurb' you will save *LOTS* of money that way, as they are a bit pricey. - but worth it ! (Warehouse clubs also sell 'special editions' of them too !)

I love it but sometimes I wish I had the ball one. But then again, I am thinking if I had the ball, there are pros about the regular one that the ball does not have....

I bought it in 2005 after I took in a Great Pyrenees rescue that was turned in because he shed too much.. duh..what did they this was going to happen to all that fur on a Great Pyrenees.. I also have a German Shedder, AKA a German Shepherd Dog that sheds like crazy.. that is in addition to Slugger, my bullie baby and my 3 cats.. I use it daily and have never had any problems with it in 6 years. I love it.. I'm always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up and thankful that there are not any bags to be replaced. I would be filling up at least 2 bags a day... Anyway.. hairy or not.. I love my furbabies.

I have the DC14 and a Dyson Ball, the small one. I bought the little one for our camper and area rugs, we had no wall to wall carpet. Why I left the ex-hubby and bought this townhouse I have lots more carpet, so I had to buy a bigger vacuum. Now I need an attachment for stairs or I want the cannister Dyson, because these both are not great for vacuuming stairs and I have 3 floors.
Regular Dyson 'Animal' LOVE IT ! LOOOOVEEE IT !
