This morning I was cleaning stalls after turning my barn horses out. I heard a ruckus, looked to the back of the barn...and there they were. 4 of my younger horses stuffed into a 10x12 stall with the gate closed on them, and my lead gelding (whom they are all very leery of and frightened by) standing in front of the gate nibbling some hay I had dropped earlier. I couldn't stop laughing:-). Two of them are NOT small horses, they both weigh in at about 1200 pounds and are 15.1 hands high. The other two are a yearling and a 2 year old, but still not little babies! They were squished, but they wouldn't have come out of that stall with that gelding standing there even if their butts were on fire!!
I made them wait a few minutes, then moved my gelding back out of the barn and let the 4 goober heads go. They were VASTLY relieved to say the least! From the front to back wall: Cider (sorrel with a rather worried look in his eye!), Jaffe (red roan), Valentina (sorrel and white paint), Visa (palomino).
Thanks for looking! It made me laugh, hope it will make you laugh, too!

Nothing like a little power to strike fear in those
around you.
Who is Visa? I don't remember hearing about her.
Love your pictures

She belonged to an emloyee that left..
And owed us some money. Visa is 2 years old and bred to cut cows. She and Jaffe are BFF:-)

I hope if I ever get lost and become a stray
that I find myself in your neighborhood. I promise to not eat too much, I'm housetrained, don't drool or spit my food out, clean my own ears and know how to run a vacuum cleaner. That's my resume.
You sure can find em.

With my luck, I would get picked up by Animal Control
and sent to a shelter.
Hugs to all your critters, large, small, furry and feathered.

Nope, this ranch is rocking and rolling all the time!
Mostly when I don't want it to though! Like tonight. I planned for a quick feed time and to the house for early bedtime. Ha! Horses came in one or two at a time. Barn stalls weren't finished this morning so had to muck them all out before I could bring in mommas and babies. Then donkeys came in and were in to EVERY thing. Then teh cows came in...late. So it took me 2 hours to finish what shod have been a fast 45 minutes! GOOBERS!!!
But yes, I love every single second of it. Hard work and all!
