OMG Cool weather
Submitted by IndyBulldog™ on September 30, 2011 - 1:53pmWell, I may need a few days off. The boys are going crazy with this cool weather and driven me there too. Bud has everthing he wants and needs, but has decided barking is a good pass time. It's a Timmie's in the well type of bark if ya remember Lassie. No reason. He seems off his daytime schedule, get up/eat/go out/mess around/play/sleep/repeat. Now not sleeping much in the morning and early afternoon. They usually play and wrestle, today they even ran the fence a few times with a long legged doggie from the neighboorhood. Brother is resting Buds still outside foolin' around.
They are eating raw, mostly chicken, but some beef liver and yesterday and this morning some steak. I only feed a little Beef / Beef Liver at a time as it's so rich and the energy it gives them. Same with vitamins, makes them too wild.
Here is Brother looking for trouble. They are in full Bully mode right now.

I don't keep track, but it doesn't seem higher than buying dog food. I look at the ads. And I buy bulk chicken in 10 pound bags. The liver is higher, but I cut and freeze it and feed a little each day. The steak was a treat. But we have a place going in 3 miles away where they have all sorts of farm raised meats just for animals. I can't wait. I also give gizzards and hearts which I get for 95 cents for 20 ounces which I divide up into fourths cause meat is rich if ya don't have enough bone. Hope I'm doing as well with their feeding as it seems.

The dogs seem better today. They did the morning thing, eat/go out/ run and play/come in and sleep.
Maybe the cool air got them going yesterday. It's even cooler today.
They are snoring on the carpet, right where I want them this time of day.
Also a little less liver this morning.
