Oliver is now 14 months old. He never had any chewing problem when he was a puppy. So good that we leave all our shoes out and let laundry hang out on the floor sometimes. Last week though we caught him chewing on a pair of uggs and then the other day he grabed one of my shoes. This morning he was chewing on a towel. Its weird because he has never shown any interest in any of these things before which literally have been around since he came home a year ago. Easy answer is to jus keep the place tidy which we should probably do anyways but just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Just really surprising because he has been so good about this.
when i got my archie he was
when i got my archie he was over a year...he too was good about not being a chewer...
we were lucky,he sometimes just slept on top of shoes,*lol*,but give him anything plastic

Gizmo is 2, and if its a leather belt. . . .*CHOMP*
she loves the taste of leather - I have to put my pants up over a door or she'll start to chew the belt in a heart beat -
try Bitter Apple on the things Oliver has started to chew on, and put a 'proper' chew into his mouth when he's caught doing it on the wrong things.
Postive reinforcement - and yea, pick up things ya dont want chewed :)
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .
Dozer just started this as well.
Hes NEVER been a chewer on anything. Just his toys, Lately hes been pulling out the plastic bottom of his crate and he pulls it just enough so he can lay down and chew on it!. and hes also been chewing on the bottom of our couch!. I took him to the vet cause i thought maybe his teeth were bothing him, or maybe some of them were loose. But our vet said his teeth looked fine and he might just be bored of his toys to try and find something new and differnt that hes now used too.. We re going to take him this weekend and get some new toys!. Good luck!.

Gracie is doing the same thing!
She is 13 months and we just had to throw out the rug in the hallway because she chewed it to pieces. I was really baffled because like all of you, she has NEVER chewed on anything! I am constantly buying her new toys but she destroys them so fast. I hope it's just a phase!
