what everyone did. I picked up Rocco tonite after losing his "manhood" . They gave me a E-Collar told me to put it on him when I got home - but I have never seen him reach that area ever.... (kinda nice lol) Did any of you have problems with a miraculous bulldog reaching that area?
Rocco "The Bull" Capone
Buddy and Baxter never had to wear an e-collar
and had zero problems after "losing their manhood" :) I hope Rocco's doing okay!
Cool thanks! The vet tech asked if I fed him this morning
and I didn't - I know better. But she said he still puked up some rice green beans and a apple slice. (don't know where he got the apple slice lol) But she was telling me about the problems bulldogs have - which I knew because of this wonderful site! He seems to be doing ok. I feel bad because he still can't eat till tomorrow.
oh good, so glad he's doing okay
we couldn't feed Buddy til the day after his tummy obstruction surgery either. It was so hard but he did fine with no food or drink. He was so exhausted.
I'm sure Rocco will be his silly ol' self tomorrow! :)
aww...so glad he's okay! Nope, Meaty could NOT reach
there for anything!! Poor guy, I actually feel sad for them that they can't reach it, since dogs do like to clean themselves.
I think I asked the same thing before Meaty's neutering, too. Anyhoo, I'll bet you're sooo relieved! When I left Meaty
at the vet that morning, I was choking up (just a little bit!), only 'cuz I was worried about the ANESTHESIA, not the
actual surgery!! Hope your sweetie continues to do well......did they give him some Rimadyl or other pain meds?
Our sweet Archimedes "MEATY" Bones (or as we say...boneSHHH!) ---born 11/28/08---- our first bullllyyyy!!!
And SOPHIE Bubbles *Rapscallion* (LOL!) ---born 4/3/11----our second bulllllyyyy!!!!
Just antibiotics. I made sure to mention about anesthesia!
and not to use ACE. She said they have 8 different kinds of anesthesia.
No
Neither of my guys can reach that area. Ozzy wore a cone after his major eye surgery and Jax when he burned his face. After Jax lost his manhood he was back to normal with 18-24 hours.
Lyn
when gracie lost her womanhood.....
she never had to wear those things - she couldn't reach that area at all so I wouldn't put it on him unless you seeing him trying to scratch it. Im glad he is doing okay!!
ok - another crazy question -Do you put anything on the stitched
area? like neosporin or something?
