Nose turning pink

Anyone have any idea why Sherman's nose would turn from pure black to a bit pink in the center? I do the Vaseline thing as it seems to get dry but It actually appears to lose pigment.. Thanks

hmmmm Has he been rubbing it on anything?

I know with Buddy's brother his lips were turning pink. We couldn't figure out what was going on and realized it was due to a chew toy that was abrasive.

I hope you figure it out!

Just some reason turns pink more lately. And dry too.. Me too. Wonder if this is also an allergy thing or something.. ?  And thanks..

Snow Nose or Butterfly Nose

it is a lack of pigmentation. It is the only DQ in our breed being a dudley nose. The nose should be very black. I believe he also has no pigmentation around his eyes but is pink. It's something a reputable breeder would consider when breeding.

Is there a reason

It would go from all black to pink all the sudden?

Is it actually pink or just lighter?

I noticed Molly started to get a lighter brown area on her nose. I googled it and turns out to be something called snow nose or winter nose. The pigmentation changes during colder months. Hers definitely isn't pink though and it is hardly noticeable to anyone other than me who knows exactly how she usually looks!
