Hi everyone!
We are still trying to find Titan's family- I called the Candian Kennel Club, only to be rudely turned away because we do not have his registration papers! (The lady we adopted him from lost him when she was moving). He is tattooed, and even with that, they will not talk to us, answer any of my qeustions or give me any helpful ways/tips on how to proceed. I am very disapointed, the representatives (3) of them I spoke to were very, very, VERY rude.
Oh well ! The search keeps going! I have called about 7 breeders in NB and Quebec area, trying to narrow down the search to which one of them still tattoo their dogs (from what I can understand, not too many breeders do!!) but still no luck !
Anyone have any suggestions ??? We would like to know where he is from, as well as get in touch with THAT particular breeder to get a sibbling for our baby!
Thanks.

suggestion...
Firstly...what a shame that the representatives that you spoke to were so rude! How disappointing.
Anyway...have you reached out to any breed specific rescues for help? A lot of rescue volunteers know a lot of breeders (good and bad) due to the nature of rescuing bullies. We get dogs from both puppymills and high class kennels. I was amazed when I picked up Maggie they actually handed over her AKC paperwork. When I talked to the director of the rescue I volunteer for she IMMEDIATELY knew the breeder based on the name of Maggie's sire on the paperwork.
It's definitely worth asking them, I bet they'd be more helpful at least. Or, they may convince you to adopt! :)
Shannon and Winston :)
My swimming bully buddy!
That's what I was going to suggest
Rescue folks are pretty good about digging up sources - I think they have to be!
I know some folks involved in bulldog rescue in Ontario. Maybe you could send me the tatoo number and I could pass it on to them? I also have a rescue contact in Calgary - not bulldogs but she might be able to help...
Sorry you felt like
you were treated badly....but please understand that private information cannot be shared, unless you are the owner listed on the dog. Rescue may be able to get you some info if they know the lady or someone knows the dogs breeder, but without the papers, registration number and information from the owner you got the dog from you are probably out of luck. Even though the lady (owner) had lost the papers she should have been able to contact CKC to have a duplicate sent to her. Have you contacted her for assistance?
Please know the CKC rules are there for a reason, I'm glad they stuck to their guns.
It sounds kind of fishy to me
The person you got the dog from should be able to tell you who they got the dog from at least. If they are the registered owners then they should contact the CKC. Are you sure this dog isn't stolen?
be a bit careful
not knowing the history but i would be a little careful looking for the owner.....you could be stepping in a real big pile of doggie poop....many surrenders are not happy ones...and their are crazy people out their.....who could demand the dog back or come and steal him....
