need some advice from my fellow BDW members!

I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on this chew toy below.  It's a bristle bone dog toy that also has a little gnawhide ring in the middle of the bone.  I know that bulldogs are not supposed to have rawhide which I learned the hard way with my previos bulldog.  But this is a very small ring in the middle of the bone.  Do you think it would be okay to give to Gracie or should I just completely stay away from anything rawhide????  Any advice would be appreciated!!!

I stay away from ALL Rawhide Products

Just my personal preference/opinion

I don't think I'd feel comfortable giving it to Winston.

There are a LOT of chew toy options out there that don't have any rawhide.  If you'd like a couple good websites to check out just private message me and I'll give you the name of a couple good options. :)

I would stay away

from rawhide anything.  Not worth the risk

I never give rawhide....

thanks to Zoey who (before I kne better) ate an entire "cigar" shapped rawhide toy at once.  Before chewing it.  She was gagging on it, I went to take it away, she swallowed it.  OMG I thought I was going to die.  All vets called said same thing:  watch her, it will come out.  Problems, bring her to emergency vet but you should be fine.

She did pass it, digested, but never again.

Not just the rawhide but too many little pieces

Onslow would chew that into smitherines!

careful with antlers. I have read about chipped teeth

We use bully sticks as with anything else (under supervision).

Why are rawhides bad for the bullies? (I don't give them to Tank anyway, he won't even touch them anyway.)

Rawhides

They can break off in to pieces that can choke out sweet bullies. Most dogs have the ability to either swallow or cough up the pieces of rawhide as they break off, but thanks to the build of a bully they can't do either option. Better to avoid the situation entirely! :)

Yes. My breeder also said that

the rawhides can cause blockage do to expanding inside their little intestines.  Scary thought!
