Seriously, how the heck are we going to keep him still and quiet for 10 days???
He runs around, wrestles with Margie, runs up and down the stairs. We really can't isolate him or crate him for all that time. Plus, he'll bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark.
I wish I had some helpful hints....after Meaty had his, I
If he tried to jump up onto the couch or our bed, we'd run and grab him to help him up. When we weren't home, we must've crated him ?
He's not a barker per se, (except for the vacuum cleaner and strange cars in the driveway), so we didn't have that problem. I hope
you get some GOOD advice for Quigley....Wait, what am I talking about---of COURSE you will !!! :-)

The thing I always wonder about is how we'd keep them (or how does anyone keep ANY doggie) crated and unable to play/ run, etc
for weeks after a surgery such a torn ACL, etc...? I can't even imagine.......poor things must be so miserable during that time :-(

Boys:-).
I have never had a problem with my boys, even when they run around like maniacs for several days after the surgery. He will be quiet the day of the surgery when you bring him home, and my vet always said to not give pain meds on the second day so they keep still and quiet longer, but usually by day three it is impossible to really keep them still so off they went. Just make certain he isn't licking the incision, otherwise you shod be ok.
