My Gang - Kohl is now 20 months

I think the last photo I posted of Kohl he was 10 months.  He has become a couch and lap hog.  Thankfully he gets hot after a few minutes and gets down.  I had to catch him while he was snoozing, because he sees the camera and usually comes running.

Please excuse his tear stains.  I'm filtering his water now and it is helping.  All that red meat gave him terrible tear stains.

And the reason it is hard to get his picture.

Absolutely LOVE the last pic!

If that doesnt say 'Calendar Photo' none of them do !

His show Career

Thanks Cathy!  I have shown him some and he has won quite a few of his classes with a Reserve Winners Dog,  but unfortunately he hasn't turned out to be a show dog.  I think he is a gorgeous pet.  He is very sweet!  He has some lovely qualities, a huge head with a beautiful flat skull nicely placed ears, nice substance and a great front....but his rearend leaves much to be desired.  His is about 2 inches higher in the butt then his shoulder and he's too straight stifled.  Oh well, his white brother has a gorgeous body but lacks the head that Kohl has.  So hard to get it all in one dog.  He's going to be losing his family jewels soon and I may make one more attempt at raising a litter.  My last opportunity with Ester will be in April. I've found the stud dog I want to use but I'm still debating if I want to try or not.

Thanks Lisa ~ We are doing great

Starting to get the landscaper inorder to start the yard.  My plans have to be approved by the HOA this month so we should be able to start around April 1.  Excited to have grass, instead of weeds and mud.

Slowly getting the house inorder and almost ready to start hanging stuff on the wall.  I already need to paint walls.  Dogs are so hard on offwhite walls, especially when Kohl loves to roll his ball on the wall whiles he's chewing on it.  The paint contractors use is never washable.

Miss the snowmobiling and boating/fishing vacations...but I have a Cabo trip planned for October with my sister and close friend.

How about you guys?  Good to see you :)

love it!

hanna does the same thing when I try to take pictures.. she's way too curious to sit still..

Well I really can't

say forsure if it is the red meat...but that seems to be some of the problem.  It may very well be just the water, since his face is clearing up.  I've also been trying Apple Cider Vinegar.  So I can't truly pin it on anything, but with the beef and venison he was eating his tear stains got horrible.  Right now he is getting more duck and turkey.  I guess I'll know when I open up another package of Venison and feed that for a few weeks again.
