to give a 4.5 old puppy benadryl. It is so rare for puppies to have allergies at this young age. Before doping her I would consult your vet and make sure she isn't sick.
If you decide to give Benadryl check to see if you can fine a child allergy pill instead of adult.
for your advice. I appreciate it. I contacted my vet and he recommended Reactine and only 5 mg per day. I think I will leave her a few more days and see if it improves. I do not think she is ill as she is totally fine in all other ways. But I will not rush into any medication either. Thanks again.
i don't remember what the
i don't remember what the dosage is per pound
but my vet didn't recommend a very high dosage either b/c they
get dry mouth and they get irritable as well...
1 25 mg tablet per 25 pounds, so she gets 1 pill
