I do not post often. My Maggie is the bullie in the cherry eye picture on this website. That was 13 years ago! Maggie showed some changes last week. We took her to the vet and they found an arithmia. Next step was a cardiologist. After many tests we found out she had pulmonary hypertension and an arithmia. She was put on Viagra (yes it's true) and others meds. She responded well and was like a new dog. Yesterday, not even a full week later she died on my kitchen floor. This happened two hours before my twin grandsons first birthday party at my house and my wedding anniversary. I left to pick up a birthday cake and came home to my husband digging her grave. She did not suffer. I am grateful for that. Maggie Mae turned 14 in April. The cardiologist could not believe how good she looked. Her blood work was perfect! She was the energizer dog that kept going until her heart said it was time. We will never forget her fiesty personality. We were blessed to have her so long and for her to pass without suffering.
Thanks for listening
Cheryl

Thank you
Everyone,
Thanks so much for your caring responses. We lost a bully at age 3 and one at age 8. Maggie living past 14 was such a gift. This is the first time in many years that my home does not have a bulldog snore! I really miss it
Cheryl
