Looking for kids holiday sweaters/pajamas, any ideas????

It's been a very long time since I've been on this site...  Unfortunately, our baby, Bella, passed away on 11/13/11, she was my world.  She would have been 10 years old on 1/14.  It's been a VERY VERY hard time for me, still cry everyday and miss her every second.  She was the most wonderful dog and lived like a QUEEN for every bit of her life (like they ALL should!).  Hardest thing I've EVER gone through in my life!  She was my first baby and will continue to ALWAYS be my first baby.

Anyway, every year for the past 9 years, Bella has been in our Christmas pic.  I'm thinking about skipping pictures all together because I feel horribly that we are missing a family member.  Anyway, I also have a 6 yr old son & 3 yr old daughter.  I'm thinking if we can still honor Bella by having them wear something with a bulldog on it.  Of course I'm looking for something "festive" looking and nice.  Anybody have any ideas????

THANKS!

Linda

Don't Skip the family photo - she wouldnt approve -

I dont think she would approve of you by passing the family picture this year (or next) - here are some idea's that might help you.

1) You holding a nice big (8X10 or 10X12) Picture (framed) in your lap, with the rest of the family around you - that way she is still IN your picture, and for those friends and family members who are unaware of your loss, its a subtle way of expressing your lost (I personally feel this is a beatiful tribute)

2) There are some fine Bulldog stuff toys out there - You could have it in your picture with your young children. We got a really neat one from IKEA this weekend, and it was really inexpensive too !

3) Go to Cafepress.com and design your own shirts, with her picture on it -  your family all wearing their  Bella Shirts

Just a few ideas :) but... go ahead with the picture - in her honor

Hmm, I'm not sure where to

Hmm, I'm not sure where to look for dressy clothes with bulldogs on them, but what about a bulldog pin that everyone could wear on their outfits?

I agree, don't skip....

In addition to Bella not likely approving, down the road you'll have a gap in the kid's photos.

I like the idea of framed photo of her. Another option is to have it in the background with a santa hat or something drapped on it.

We recently took family portraits rather close to the passing of our Luca and my wife was able to be take comfort by having a bulldog charm necklace. During the session she was obsessed with getting it straight and visible. But after the photos came back we've been very happy and felt the charm was just the right touch.

Another thought is ask the kids and see what they come up with. My oldest would draw/color stick figures of Luca. Maybe you could incorporate some of their creativity into the photo.

Sorry for your lose. You are going through a truly tough time so near the holidays.
