I have been meaning to stop by and update, but we have been "homeless" the last two months and internet access has been spotty at best. We have moved into our home and finally got internet last night. Just in time for college football. ;-) We still have no furniture, pots, pans, beds or any oher comfort, but at lest we have TV and internet.
We decided to take the MAC flight from Hickam AFB to Travis and I am so glad we did. The folks at Hickam could not have been more attentive to Dreadnought and Elvis (my kittie). I was able to stay in the back with them for a little while before they put them on the plane which did a lot for my state of mind. The plane was a DC-9 and the animals were able to ride in the front of the plane next to the pilots. They don't put them in the belly of the plane. The flight attendents actually were able to go up and check on him every once in a while and the pilot even checked on him and came back to chat with us about what a funny dog he was. Such a releif! We actually heard him a few times expressing his "displeasure" about the whole ordeal. We landed at Travis and it was HOT, but they unloaded both my guys quicky and they were in the AC within 20 minutes.
Thanks so much for the good thoughts. I'm sure I was waaaaaaaay more stressed out about it than Dread was. We all made it to Va safe and sound and he is happily snoring away beside me right now. Life is good. :-)
