Kippahs food change

After Kippah waking up with hives all over Wednesday I was at a loss at to what caused them. They were finally gone Friday morning. I somehow expected Benedyl to wipe them out right away, but that did not happen!

Anyway, we have no idea what caused them, and it just so happened that we were at the bottom of the bag of her brown rice and lamb food. She has been on it for over 3 months, with no problem. But just how do I know that she did not start having issues all of a sudden? I dont. so since we were at the end of the bad I decided to make a switch.

we were lucky enough to have our costco carry the salmon and sweet potato food. $34 for 30 pounds, thats pretty darn good for a grain free food!

Second day and so far so good. Actually firmer poos than what we used to have so we are crossing our fingers.

And the purpose of this post??? I dunno, I guess cuz when you have a baby you talk about rashes, new foods and firm poos and stuff

You may not want to hear this, but I tried Joker on that same food. He broke out in hives after two weeks of me transitioning him from healthy planet organic to the salmon sweet potato. He's now on Natural Balance sweet potato and venision formula. Food can be tough as every dogs physiology is different so it's difficult to tell what food will work. I have given so many partially used bags away to my best friend whos mastiffs will eat anything and never have a reaction. Good luck! finding the right food is just as important as finding the right vet. Bulldogs needs the very best possible! I will post pictures of Joker just as soon as he recovers from his 4 lid entropian surgery he's having today.

We have two of our guys on the Costco Salmon food and...

they do great on it, good coats, no tear stains and firm poops. It is very cheap considering I was paying $44 for TOTW at a food depot, not sure it was always fresh either. Let me know how it is going after a few weeks!

Just switch food too

After reading a ton about food and many favorable reviews on the Costco food, we just started the switch to the Costco salmon sweet potato as well. We are on day 2 so I am going to be interested to see how it works for you.
