Kippah Ears

Vain Mommy here I guess (at least vain in my puppy appearance)

One of her ears formed the perfect rose about 8 days ago, just like overnight.  But the other has not yet.  Should I give it more time, or should I glue it?  What would you do?

I guess if you feel

I guess if you feel comfortable gluing go for it, i think you were planing on showing Kippah?  Oliver's left ear rosed about a week before his right also.  The right would rose over but flop back down until about a week or two.

The glueing is painless

Actually, I've glued bulldog ears and I don't think they even noticed. We used spirit gum, but that was a long time ago.

oh gosh, sounds familliar

same thing happened to us.  you can sort of see here the brown one is floppier...and now james ears arent symmetrical!  but because one is brown, its hard to tell..

Glue that floppy ear!

LOL!!! The same thing happened to Vern and I asked the same question on here.   I said one "activated" and the other one hadn't.  I googled glueing and ended up buying (per breeder recommendation) seam glue.  I bought it at Joann Fabrics - like for glueing seams on clothes.  I looked at how the rosed ear folded and mimicked that on the floppy ear.  I think it was glued for a little over a week (until the glue broke down) and his ears are perfect now.  Never had an issue after that.

Ok Vet check today

He suggested we wait at least a few more weeks,  the whole time he was looking at him she had her ear pulled back, so he said that proves that she can and just the cartlidge has not grown as strong on that side, he said he is pretty sure it will go on its own, and be a matched set.  SOOOOO mama will settle down for a couple weeks and wait and see.......patience is not something I bought at the virtue store.

massage it's ear

I did that with all of my pups-more with the pups that their ears weren't rosing back as fast as the others and they all rosed. I would just sit and fold the ear on the natural fold and massage it a few minutes each time I held them...good luck!
