I jsut read your previous post and it does sound like KC could be a real possibility by the way you described it. A vet visit is inorder. Does he have a temp?
we are going in today for his appointment when i get off work...i checked the backs of his ears and nose and it doesnt feel like he is running a temp at all, he is not lethargic at all either...I actually got a message this morning from the rescue giving me a heads up that Rocco might have Kennel Cough because one of the other volunteers dog just came down with it...turns out one of the pups at the adoption event had Kennel Cough and didnt show signs till later that night so they were unaware during the event. Glad they sent me the message it confirmed my suspicions...he is still on cephalexin for the acne, which has cleared up completely, and was wondering what type of anti biotic he mighth be put on...my mom is a vet tech and she is thinking maybe Torbutrol and I also heard Tribrissen

Whenever I deal with a rescue that has kennel cough, my exec director wants me to remove/change my clothes and shoes before I meet my own dogs. Also, right after the meeting, we keep antibacteral gels/creams in our cars that we have to use and when we get to a sink, antibacterial soap has to be used. It is highly contagious.....
i never thought about changing clother but I do use anti-bacterial soap and cream after handling or petting a rescue...contagious it is, I mean it really is the common cold for dogs.

The 1st thing I do after a Rescue transport, shelter pull or return from shows is to strip out of my clothes and shower, then I take my dogs out of the truck and bathe them before putting them into their crates. ESPECIALLY if there is a litter of pups here or youngsters that might not be fullly vaccinated.
Even though I keep all my dogs current on Bordetella, over the years I've brought home Kennel Cough 3 or 4 times and it really sucks (and gets expensive to treat) when you have 8 to 10 dogs get sick. And it could be fatal to pups, so no precaution is too much.
He go this Bordatella shot last year but since there are so many different strands of it, it is like a 50/50 shot it will kill it off, like for us with the cold, you can only treat the symptons but as far as the cold goes it just has to run it's course

the ant-bioctics kill off the bacteris but the virus has to run it's course...anti-biotics also help to prevent secondary infection (pneumonia)...been doing a lot of reading up on all of this and it is a huge advantage having a vet tech who graduated top of her class with a perfect GPA as a mom

If you think that's what it is....
Get him in to your vet today for antibiotics. Kennel Cough can turn into pneumonia very fast if not dealt with immediately.

agree
hope he feels better soon, poor Rocco.
