Thanks for asking about the goobers, all of them! Here are a few pics for you of assorted misc. and sundry ranch animals:-)
Sophia and her big pal William Wallace.
I knew when my lead gelding didn't come in for breakfast on Thursday last week that something was amiss! I found him guarding my Jenny and her newborn jack. The horse is named Lyon, the jenny is Merry, and the baby jack is Jasper.
Two of my coming 2 year old fillies. On the left is Eise, a Friesian/Thoroughbred cross filly. The one on the right is Star, a Morgan filly.
Ivy is a 36 inch tall mini mare. She is gal pal to my little man Choctaw, who is a 29 inch tall stallion.
Duke (in tan blanket), and Cider playing on a rainy morning last week.
Shar, a brnad new intake. Sh eis a 25 year old mare in critical condition. She had an abcess in her mouth that the owners never treated, she nearly starved to death. My sheriffs department called me to take her. She has been with me one week, I will post a photo of her progress when there is some!
A couple of my Thoroughbred girls, Missy (my heart horse) the black one in front, Red the red one in back. Social grooming:-)
Thanks for looking! I wish I had good pics of all 24, but I dont! This will have to do for now!

I just love looking at your pictures.
Sending positive thoughts to the sick horse. People can be so mean. I think of the pain she must have been in.
Janis,
The old girl was definitely in pain, she had a bad abcess the old owners never bothered to clear and it infected her molars under it, the sinus cavity above it. She is pretty well cleared now of the initial infections, she has to get weight on her and that will take months of feed and hay to do.
Thanks for looking!

Beautiful pictures Amy!
My granddaughter Autumn LOVES horses, I'll be sure to show her these! She loves going to rodeo when she's feeling good and always wears her cowboy boots and hat.
Kathy, I would post pics everyday for her.....
How is Autumn doing? Give her a gentle hug from me. If you ever want a horse experience for her in your area, I know some of the top barns there and I know they would be delighted to give her a dream come true:-)

Beautiful
your horses are beautiful! I love the one you took in that was abused, I can't believe people are so awful to animals! There's a special place in hell just for them! Where do you live? It looks like pretty country!

People can be pretty mean sometimes, for sure.
Thankfully there are others who can be very kind! The mare in the pic was confiscated by the sheriffs department the next county over from me, and then they called me to take her for them. I do all breed rescue and rehab, I have 22 horses that for the most part fall into one of those categories.
We live in North Central Texas, about 80 miles west of Dallas/Fort Worth. We have a ranch out here and an ever growing assortment of animals on it!
