Hey everyone.....happy Friday!!!! :-) After reading Pegsy's post about how much this site has helped
her after losing her sweet Archie, it made me wanna share something. I think there are still lots of people
out there who think you can't have "REAL" friendships online.....but I beg to differ. Yes, I would LOVE to
meet all of you (and have a HUGE bully play-date, picnic, heckkkk---we'd need a week just to have time
to chat allll about our cute bullies and get to know eachother!!).....but, we all know that probably won't
happen....
.....
......
My point is, although it's not the same as being face to face, I am SO grateful for websites like this where
there's no snarkiness, no flaming, no ugliness. SOooo happy that it has helped people that are going
through hard times!!! As much as I hate to think of it, when we lose our sweeties, aside from my hubby's
and my wonderful family and friends' support and hugs, I would DEFINITELY seek solace here......other
bully people just GET IT !!! ...
.....
I don't wanna be TOTALLY bully-centric.....I know that other doggie
lovers would get it, too!!!) I have a dear friend who grieved over her beloved Daucuhshund for over
a year, and a lot of people *TRIED* to be sympathetic, but after a while, couldn't understand WHY
she'd still grieve over a dog she had for SIXTEEN YEARS!!??? (how can people not understand that!?!?!)...
....
.....
ALso wanted to share that Pegsy's post reminded me of when my sweet baby brother died 3 years ago...
worst thing I've ever been through!!! There was a website where he posted a lot, and when he was
sick, one of his friends posted, asking people to pray. There ended up being something like
300 posts to this one thread, people all over the world were praying for him!! And not only that, after he died,
people that never met him started donating money, also!!! My family and I still cannot believe this kindness,
and all from "JUST a website"......yea, websites (like this one!) are AWESOME, and I am truly grateful for
all of you!!...
.....
.....
Now, shall I start arranging a hotel / doggie play area / picnic site / etc.. for all of us to meet and bring allll our
bullies and have the best time EVER !!???!!!???!!!! (oh, how I wish!!!!)
HUGS everyone!!!!!!!
Our sweet Archimedes "MEATY" Bones (or as we say...boneSHHH!) ---born 11/28/08---- our first bullllyyyy!!!
And SOPHIE Bubbles *Rapscallion* (LOL!) ---born 4/3/11----our second bulllllyyyy!!!!
right now words are so beyond
right now words are so beyond me...i just read about stella and now reading your post...
thnq so much....(((hugs)))
I second that
I'm a stay at home mom and when both of my little ones were born, they were preemies and spent time in the NICU. I became isolated from everyone because we were too scared to take them around people in case they caught something. I wouldn't have survived had it not been for message boards. I still chat daily with women that I was pregnant with over 6 yrs ago. I've only met one lady in person but the bonds that we all have with each other is strong. I'm here now because of the friendships. I hope to one day meet some of you.

Thank you for posting this. A lot of us feel the same way.
We feel the same but we don't always say so. I'd like to let everyone know how much it means to me to have a community like this. I appreciate all of you even thought I don't say so as much as I should.
that was awesome.
That was absolutely perfect!. I believe whole heartedly that you dont need to "SEE" people just to know that they are there for you and share in the same, happy, funny, beautiful and even sad moments that come with living every day.
my mothers brother also passed away at a very young age of 40, about 5 years ago, and it was amazing to see and hear from the people that he knew and and loved, and from the people he DIDNT know, but bc of his love for life and the way he was, he too had people from all ver the world fly in to giv them respects. He worked for NASA so he was all over the place, It was great to meet people from ireland and england with there super cool accents!. some he had never even seen, just threw E-mails and what have you, but they all came!.
And i also do agree that our bullies are more then " just a dog". dozer ( besides my husband) is my BEST FRIEND, and my furry ittle son. He has been there for me and with me, threw thick and thin. With a lick or a wiggle, Or a splash from the bathrub, just to " make sure mommy was looking". I Sadly misscarried a few weeks ago, And dozer stayed by me every second of every day while i was home and in bed, He helped me pull myself out of my funk, by just being there for me... my friends. sure they knew, sure they were concerned, but i (understandbly) wasnt a priority to them, but i did feel like I was to dozer!. Hes my besty.
and thank the lord for all of my friends on here... For laughing with me at the cute pics i put up of D... to helping me when he almost dehydrated last summer.. to his recent snatching the cookies and mommy having a chocolate chip hes gonna die moment a few days ago!. Every one has been here threw thick and thin, and every one is awesome!!!!
Im totally down for a BDW meet and greet!! hahahahahahha
