So Jack-apotomus will be 10 wks on Monday and weighs in at 14 lbs 7 oz. He gained 4 lbs in three weeks so we are cutting back on his food a little. Otherwise he's doing great and was a big hit at the vet's office. We took him to our church for a few minutes to see my husband. We found out that there are a few people in our church that have bulldogs which I thought was interesting. We've been going there for almost 6 yrs and never knew. So that was his morning of fun so the rest of the day will probably be spent with him napping.

US TOO! Wow you had the same day we did
Vet check this morning with shots, Kippah is 13 weeks and 15.1 pounds, she gained 5 pounds in 3 weeks. vet was not concerned but of course we will be watching her.
And she went to church too! (we worship on Saturdays)
And then she had obiedience class at 1pm. When we got home at 3 she was exhausted and took a 3 hour nap!
we are moving her to a large breed puppy food, Nutro has no wheat no corn. Lower protien than her puppy food and we dont want her joints and bones growing faster than her build can handle. Other than that we had a great vet check, he told me not to worry about her un-rosed ear, he is sure it is going to go into form very soon

Thats funny! My husband was
Thats funny! My husband was with some other church members taking care of the church grounds. But my girls and I go to church on Saturday nights because that group doesn't mind a toddler running around the sanctuary. The older ladies that go on Sunday morning wouldn't have been too happy with my 2 yr old last night who came close to pulling the fire alarm. LOL
As far as weight, I'm wondering if the vet was correct then. Jack gets 2 cups of Canidae split up 4 times a day (so 1/2 cup at each meal). I brought up the food with the vet and he looked at Jack, who was sitting at the time, and said that his waist didn't seem to be as defined as last time so he thought I should be decreasing his food to 1 1/3 cups a day. But I look down at Jack and I can see definition in his waist. We did find out that our 2 yr old was sneaking Jack his dog biscuits and they have since been moved to higher ground. Jack has a big chest and he was the biggest one out of the litter, probably a 1/3 bigger than the rest of them.
Jack's ears have both gone up now. I was getting ready to call the breeder and then one just popped up. So Jack looked a little crazy but after a few more days, the 2nd one popped up too with no warning. I thought it would be a gradual rising but no, it just popped up out of the blue. So maybe Kippah's will be the same.

gracie too!
I took her to the vet last week because she has "acne" on her chin and she weighed 63 pounds! she is only 8 months old. but both her parents are big and she was the biggest dog in the litter. She eats Nutro too and loves it. I have been adjusting her food constantly and now I give her 2 cups in the am and 1&1/2 at night. i was using a scoop and realized I was giving her way too much food! So I switched to a measuring cup and now she is eating exactly what she should! She doesn't look fat to me....she looks beatiful!
Feeling the same
Jack doesn't look fat to me either and he was the biggest one of his litter. I don't want him to grow too big too fast though because of his joints. We went through these feeding issues with our mastiff when he was a puppy. Its a nuisance to keep having to adjust their food intake and the weigh-ins but so worth it in the long run.
