We are out of town for the weekend and a friend will be staying in the apartment with Oliver. We are putting together a list of information including vet info, feeding, when he needs to be let out. Do you guys have anything else we should make sure to add? Just trying to be as thorough as possible. Thanks.
When we board - -
The paper work mentions something about 'Amount to spend in an emergency, until you can be reached' or something along those lines - some type of guidelines in case something would happen - $2000 emergency medical bill might be nothing to you - or it might be the world. (I guess any types of guidelines, if something major happends)
Its only a short weekend, you should be fine - when I cat sat for a family, they were usually gone for 7-10 days on vacation, and ALOT could go wrong, and they were 1/2 way across the country, so they couldnt get back immediately. - so she left me instructions "If one of them should pass -" type of thing - and we are able to spend 'X' amount in emergencies.
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .
Other stuff I add
Whether there are any dogs in the building or neighbourhood to "watch out for".
What he's NOT allowed to do (e.g. get on the furniture, etc.) if anything.
Is this someone who knows you bully well? If not, you might want to mention some of his bulldog "quirks" - e.g. reverse sneezing, whether he's scared of plastic bags, lol... you know, the stuff we take for granted.
I also leave instructions for...
what to do in emergencies such as benedryl for hives, immodium for diarhea, etc.
I usually leave how to get to this message board...
I did this once when I left Maybull with a friend when we went to Israel. I got an international phone and called her about three days into the trip. Well, she was freaked out. Maybull, apperently, was doing this weird thing; She'd get this funny look in her eye, then start to snap at invisible flies, bark and run around in circles. After about five minutes, she'd stop and fall asleep.
I laughed. Oh, I said; the Zoomies. That's a bulldog thing.
She could have asked you guys and you would have told her that this was normal, but she didn't. I still laugh about this with her.
