He's a mix of pit and mutt. The owners, who are meth addicts, were witnessed punching the pup with closed fist in the face until he went unconscience." This abuse has been going on for a while and it was time for a, let's say, "rescue under the cover of darkness."

This is the message I got from the person that rescued him:

I've done it again. My friend XXXX & I saved a dogs life. Her neighbor brought in a new pit mix puppy back in the spring. These people deal meth and are really bad news.

I hate it for XXXX that she has to look out her kitchen window and witness what she does. They tied the pup where it could go under the porch where they keep the bags of trash.

Of course the puppy tore up the trash bags. The man came out, found the mess and punched the pup with his balled up fist, twice. XXXX saw the puppy go limp and she prayed he was dead. Then one of the little boys kicked it.

Then their 10 year son at one time picked up the pup by the hind legs, swung it around and let it fly. XXXX called me Thursday and said she didn't think she could watch any more. Their power had been cut off and the people were staying somewhere else at night. I told XXXX she had to grab him now, under the cover of darkness before they come back.

She had the pup and was sitting in the parking lot of my vets office at 7:30 Friday morning. He's being treated for round worms but he's parvovirus negative. Another friend has been to see him and test his temperament. She said in spite of the abuse, he is very loving. He needs some good food and love. I think I have a rescue transport to take him up north but he has to wait until he has had his 1st & 2nd puppy shots.

I will never understand how people can treat a helpless animal like this. He will be staying with me until he has his shots and his transport up north is worked out.

I'd love to post a pic of this beautiful puppy but for obvious reason I can't.
