But I just got so excited that Chef sat/stayed for 2 full minutes before I gave him the okay to eat his food.
He use to be good for only 30 seconds or so. DH just makes him sit and then lets him go out it. He has been sick for the last week and I've done most of feedings so I've been able to train him.

It's the small things!
You'll be happier person overall if you can derive joy from small things. The "big ones" don't happen that often.
Such a good, good puppy!
Good job!
It's the little things in life that make us smile...he's a cutie :)

it's wasn't a fluke
He did it again this morning. A little less patience than last night, but still good. I was even able to pick up his water bowl to fill it and return and he just sat there.
How long do you make your bully wait? DH thinks I'm being mean. But he is a chef and doesn't wait himself, so there's that.

you
don't want to stretch it too long, especially with a youngin'. he sounds like he is doing great! i think it would be good to have him wait until you get the bowl filled and down for him. just good manners and saves on washing the floor!! good boy chef!! you sure are a cutie! keep up the good work.
