Join them! So Rugby is a pretty mellow guy where few things make him go nutty. There is one thing that absolutely sets him off: Skateboards. He doesn't hate them, he LOVES them and wants to badly to play with them when skateboarders go by. We live next to a large park that happens to also have a skateboard park within it. We have actually stopped walking near that area because he gets so overexcited.

So this weekend we made a big decision, we bought Rugs a skateboard. We hope that by giving him the opportunity to play with one more frequently, he will hopefully calm down a little with the neighborhood skateboard sightings. Enjoy this video of him enjoying his first time playing with his skateboard in the park (note that I have it in a trash bag within a huge LL Bean bag because if he had seen it we wouldn't have been able to calm him down). He is so freaking funny about it!

We have been wanting to get Kippah on the skateboard, we had her ride back and forth on one when she was little, but she has not been on one sice September or October....

That cracks me up, he knows just what to do!

Looks like he took to it pretty well - we've been really lazy w/ Gizmo and her skateboard, she was at the stage she wanted to carry it around and chew on it :( so we havent worked with her (and the cars in the neighborhood think that its a 52 mph zone vice a 25 mph zone! and that's just the school buses !)

looks like a natural at the sport lol..i used to be sponsored when i was younger so i naturally wanted to get rocco on a board but he would much rather eat it than ride it...it is so funny everytime a skateboarder rides by when we are out, he goes crazy and tries to steal the board lol
