I'm on vacation this week, and while I could have kept Beatrix with me all week, I knew she wouldn't like that. When she's home for that long at a stretch, you can see her getting restless and mopey by the end of the week, since she's so used to going to work with us every day. So, Mike (who is NOT on vacation) took her to the office with him today.
And...it seems so WEIRD in the house without her. I mean, sure, there's still the cats, but it's not the same. There's no puppy to greet me when I come down from the studio or to give me sad eyes when I go up or to demand that I play with her. Or even to just lie on the couch cusions making adorable snoring noises behind me.
Who knew I'd get so lonely for her when she's only been gone for three hours?
*giggling*...sorry sweetie

I can relate...
When Zimmer goes to the groomer, he's only gone about 2 hours. The house is WAY too quiet without him. Even though he loves his naps, at least I know I can look over & see him!
