I got my Frenchy rescue, Rosey!

I asked your opinion on a Frenchy rescue a couple of weeks ago and you guys told me to go for it, so I did! I picked her up yesterday and she's an adorable, petite, little girl. I'd like to get some opinions on dog food. She's on a wonderful food right now. Her foster mom has her own business where she makes dog food and I believe it's sold at places like Whole Foods. I would like to eventually switch her to a kibble or use a mixture of kibble and can. She had alot of teeth pulled, but she didn't have any problem eating my Pug's kibble this morning. She has some skin allergies and I just wondered if there are any dog foods that stand out as being good for dogs with skin allergies. I'm thinking something with flaxseed? Her foster mom also gave me some canned Castor &Pollux Organix can food, which I had never heard of. I'm wondering if the kibble version would be a good one to start with.

we started Kippah of Castor and Pollux, kibble version. We got it at Petsmart, its not a huge seller there, but the ingredients are decent. We have her on AvoDerm now, and it does have flax, and avacado in it, no grains or corn etc....we have been on it just a month now, so its not a great testimony, but so far so good, again Petsmart carries it. My only concern is that Kippah does not gain too much weight on it. She lost on Salmon and Sweet potato--apparently she did not really like it, so we have gained that back, but just 4 pounds in 4 weeks (shes only 8 months old now)

We have two frenchies, but they are only 5 months. We had fed our English Bulldogs Natural Balance due to doof allergies. We think that we will feed Oliver and Rocco the Natural Balance when they get older, but we have yet to decide. If you know if she has food allergies and what they are that might help make your decision. Good luck!
