I could use some prayers for my girl Scarlett
Submitted by debsbulys on December 7, 2011 - 2:22pmMy bulldog Scarlett is nine years old. She hasn't been feeling well the last day or so I took her to the vet and she has a tumor on her spleen. The vet thinks it is cancer. If it is, he says she has maybe 3 months left. I have her sister and two of her babies. They will do surgery on Friday to remove her spleen and then I will get the diagnosis. I know how much the power of prayer works and I was hoping for some for my baby girl. I feel so devastated, I can't imagine losing her. Most of all I don't want her to suffer. I lost her great uncle 2 years ago,he lived to be 15 1/2 years old, he was my first bulllie and that is when I fell in love with the breed when I got him. The thought of losing her is overwhelming me. I am hoping for the best. Debbie

Debbie, I really hope Scarlett's surgery goes well and she recovers without any complications! I am praying she can live as long as her Great Uncle, 15 years...wow!

Sounds to me like an overly grim diagnosis... They can take out the spleen and if it's cancer, maybe they can just take all the cancer with it. Bullies are a resilient bunch so I wouldn't count sweet Scarlett out yet. Sending her (and you) all the positive vibes in the world!

Tomorrow is Scarlett's surgery. I just wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes for her. I will let you know the outcome of the surgery. Give all of your bullie babies a hug for me. They are such special creatures and they bring so much joy into our lives. Thank you all.
