How long does the

bleeding phase of the heat cycle last? Bailey has been in heat and has been bleeding for over a week now. As you can see from the pics I have her wearing undies but she does not appreciate it at all lol. She will be geting spayed at the end of october and I think we will both be happy that we dont have to go through this again. Poor baby is miserable!!

Eek! I know how she feels.

But with bulldogs it can last up to a month.

Ethel went into heat

and the bleeding lasted almost 3 weeks... I am waiting on that right now again. Her last heat was in Feb. I thought she would have had it already - Of course she will be my once a year girl!!! she hit in her crate when I put a diaper on her, she was so embarrassed... Good Luck!!!

Bailey runs

and hides to! I hate to do it but it has to be done. I have found that she is not as active, Im not sure if its just the underware that makes her not want to move or if she doesnt feel well enough to. She doesnt have much of an apitite either. Is Ethel less active? Good luck to you as well!!

Ethel is like a

typical girl with it - doesn't want to be bothered with anyone... I do leave here in her crate most of the time - with just towels in there. she pees on them too when she is in heat - she is totally house broken, but I guess this is what happens. I have her Brother Fred, who is not fixed, so I have to keep them separated. I will take turns putting him in a crate and taking her out with a diaper on (she is embarrassed so she usually hides in her crate) I just feel bad that she is cooped up in there... I hate crates - but they work!!! Good Luck

Thank you

Im not as worried then because Bailey doesnt want to be bothered and she has done the pee thing on her towels as well. She is house broken but I dont have her in a crate. She became part of our family about a month ago and I assume they never used a crate or maybe she was always in one because she freaks out and wont go near it. I dont want to stress her out or add to her being uncomfortable so she has been retreating to the laundry room, which is cool and finds that no one bothers her while shes in there lol. Thanks again

I heard

people have put a little girl one piece bathing suit on them with a maxi pad on the inside...(it works) How cute would that look... Ethel would be so mad at me.... she always looks mad!

HAHA

Oh my goodness Bailey would probly dissown me!! Your right, it would look cute though. I actually have her in a pair of boxer briefs (that I stole from my son) that I put a pad in and she seems to be able to move better in those than the diaper. Im always geting the side eye from her.

Ethel went into

heat yesterday, she is looking so sad and does not want to come out of her crate... Good, because Fred is waiting for her!!! LOL... I did get another crate so I can keep them separated for a couple weeks - he is her brother and we don't want any slip ups!!! He lays right next to her at night when he sleeps!! so cute...
