How long do I keep my baby boy on puppy food?

My baby boy, Hamish, is not such a baby anymore! Can't believe it will be his first birthday next month! Do you guys have any suggestions on how much longer I should keep him on puppy food? I've heard so many contradictory opinions at this stage that I'm totally confused!

I remember those days. Some people say to take them off early (like 4 mos) and so I think I would take him off now and gradually introduce a good quality adult dog food. I think it is a protein issue and they don't need all the protein that is in a puppy food. He looks like a sweetie!

Well actually puppy food
is not necessary. A good all life stages is fine with this breed. Most reputable breeders will say 4 months adult food with a protein level at or below 25%.
I've never feed puppy food after 4/5 months with any of mine.
Phoebe was on adult food from the day she came home and
has done well on it all along.
