We had Gunther in the ER vet last night. He had what was the beginning of a twisted stomach. It didn't twist and he didn't need surgery thankfully. He was there from 8pm until 11:30am. He had about 3xrays and was given a injection for nausea. They said he slept on and off in the night.
Now that we are home he just seems off. He won't really lay down. We have to force him and then he sleeps, but he's falling asleep while he's sitting. He doesn't seem very affectionate either.
Hes pooped/peed, interested in water and food on/off.
My husband thinks he's overtired.. I called the hospital a few hours ago and they weren't concerned as of yet.
Any hints or similar experiences? Maybe he's stressed? He seems alert. Maybe he's mad at us for leaving him?
Thanks in advance

probably sore, and can't get comfortable. .
I think if my insides were even a little twisted (lets say cramps) I wouldnt want to lay down too much. Keep an eye on him. I hope its just him being a little sore from episode, and overly tired too.
Hang in there big guy!
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .
He is just himself back to normal.
My Loulou has been thur just what you explain . Their body is just getting back to normal. Just like us it will take a day of two. Remember he dersever the fuss he just like a kid. Don't want his mommy but mommy don't you dare step away. Did they tell you to give him yogurt. I would try a little just to coat his stomach and just keep doing just what your doing. Don't feel bad if you call that vet all night long. This is Gunter!. Good luck please let us know how he is tomorrow.
