Hi Everyone!!

I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year's weekend!  I'm sorry I've been a bit absent lately, but life sometimes gets a bit hectic as we all know too well.  I'm glad to be back to the board. :)

Some exciting news on our front, Winston, the dude and I are currently temporarily fostering a sweet little baby bully girl named Maggie (or Miss Mags, or Miss Maggie Mae, or Maggie Moo, or...well you get the idea). :)  She's approximately 11 months old, only ways about 26 pounds and has some issues (like most bully babies who find themselves being surrendered to rescue).  Initially we thought she might be an SB baby, but *fingers crossed* it's looking less likely that is her problem and more likely she had a shoddy vet who botched her spay surgery a few weeks ago.  She has cherry eye (as you will see in the pictures), but that's a pretty "easy" fix compared to a lot of things.  We are hoping to get in to the local bulldog vet tomorrow (we being Julie and I) to get a for sure diagnosis about the sweet girl.  So please send some good thoughts and prayers her way tomorrow. :)

Here are a couple pics of Maggie.  This is when we first picked her up (it was a hard pick up due to the fact that the lady who was surrendering her brought her 8 year old daughter to the drop off.  Her poor daughter was bawling, and made me tear up a little...poor kiddo).

And here is Maggie and Winston playing on The Dude's couch (at first they were a bit testy with one another, but now they're definitely friends). :)

And here she is resting after their wrestling match on the couch. :)

Sweet little thing!

I'm so glad you gals have her and I'm hoping for another "easy fix" to her issues "down below".  Please make sure to keep us posted!

And sheesh!  Who brings their little girl when you have to give away her puppy.  Makes thing SO much harder for everyone!  The only time I helped rehome a dog ( a lab), the guy left his three kids at home, saying there was NO WAY they could come and say goodbye at he drop-off - thank goodness!

I felt SO bad for the little girl.

I asked her for a hug and told her that she was doing a wonderful thing for Maggie.  I told her that I'd email her mom some updates and pictures if she wanted me to (she said yes).  My heart did break a little for her when she ran to get Maggie's rope toy from the car to give her before we left.

Oh man, just thinking about it now makes my eyes tingle a little...

Poor baby

She looks so little!  Kippah just turned 6 months last weekend and is at 32 pounds.  But I am sure she is quickly on the mend.  My prayers go out to you and your foster baby.  Glad Winston has a new friend too!

Hi there!

Maggie looks like a sweetie and I'm so glad you have her now. I hope her problem is a minor one!

....but why the heck would someone bring their child when surrendering their pet? That's heartbreaking for everyone.
