Hello Everyone!
I recently found a patchy, red and irritable spot on Sumo. It is on his left front paw. I have tried putting on some preparation H cream and soaking it in epsom salt. He usually lets me put cream on it, but today he was fighting quite a bit and yelped when I touched it. I've never heard Sumo yelp in my life. It must be pretty irritable and painful. Any ideas to what it is and what I should do? I called his vet but they are out of town and will be back first thing Monday. Does this require urgent medical attention if so please let me know. Here are some pictures...
Measures we've taken so far: preparation H cream, soaking in epsom salt and cone.
Here is a pic of the poor guy....
Thank you everyone in advance. Any word of advice is greatly appreciated.

Dozer had that
Our vet called it "pussy foot", he sai it an sometimes be from water being stuck in the paw nd not able to dry itself out, we did all of those things as wel, but Dozers started to bleed and we took him to the vet immediately n they put him on an anti biotic cause it was too sensitive to put anything topical and he wasnt sure how deep the infection was in his foot, I would bring him
In if he's licking it a lot or if he's limping, you dot want him to run rou and then it splits open, that happened to us and it wasn't fun.. That was our whole experience with it. Goodlyvk
