Hi everyone I need some advice. My 9 month old bullie pulls very hard when I walk her. What is the best harness to get for her? She has a breathing problem so I don't want to put a collar on her. Thanks

we just use a basic one from Petco. Chef D doesn't pull and is growing so fast we didn't want to spend a lot on a harness just yet.
We also have a 'no-pull' harness that clips to front so if the dog starts to pull he starts going side-ways. We don't use it because Chef has always been good on the leash but you might want to try that type.

I tried a "no pull harness" that hooked in the back and would tighten on the dogs body if he pulled and it didn't work at all. I think it actually made him pull harder. I would say to try the front clip harness too.
Or you will be going back and forth exchanging them. One 'Medium' is another's Brand / Style Large etc. There are ALOT of different harness varieties out there - ours is very basic, and she tolerates it - we tried different ones (like the one that Fatboy is seen wearing in his picture) with no results.
.
you will try and return several until you find one that works/comfortable

I don't have that much success with it! The idea is that when they pull and you put pressure it should turn them back around sideways. However, being that Molly is so low to the ground, when she pulls she manages to get one of her legs out of it somehow. She also just continues to pull sideways and if she's really persistent she ends up rolling onto the ground! What also scares me is that when the thing goes sideways it basically rides up and cuts off at the throat because of her shape. My friend uses the same one with her boxer and it is amazing so I definitely think it has something to do with the bulldog height and width. I'm still looking for something else because Molly is super strong when she pulls, especially when chasing a squirrel, but I don't want to use a collar either.

My puppy buyer that bought Siri used a harness on her and she was horrible with pulling. I did 2 days of boot camp trying to correct her horrible pulling. I will never use a harness until the dog is trained correctly to lead. IMO - They teach them to pull.
So I would suggest taking her to a trainer (Not PetsMart) but a licensed trainer who uses positive reinforcement (understands the small trach issue) and teach her how to lead correctly. Once that is mastered then you can use a harness. You may need to take some private lessons first before exposing her to outside stimulation.
Once they learn to pull it is very difficult to teach them not to pull.

I just don't spend the time. Kohl is a wild man and Ester on a walk you would never know was a show dog. If she sees a ChiChi dog she thinks stuffie. And those are destroyed in seconds in our house. LOL!
Funny story....I had Beth show her a few times when I was not able to get away from work. And the first time she was practicing with her ringside..and later she told me she was really worried because Ester was most definitely not paying any attention to her. Once in the ring, she (Ester) got to work and did her thing. Beth came out and said wow...she really knows ring procedure. LOL! She is awesome to show, but take her on a walk around other dogs and she is a handful. Kohl is just untrained. I'm, going to blame it on the family tree (Ch. Glendars Dylan), he is quite a characture and his kids seem to be too. I've seen a few Dylan kids that were pretty silly. If they were horses we would called them high spirited :)
Right now

Try an Easy Walk Harness... they can't pull with it on...
Do some reading about them on line. It was amazing how well it worked for Sanford.

I think we should have Deb train our bullies :) :) :)
Lets just Overwhelm her shall we? come a knocking on her door with leashes in hand, like a Conga Line... (1 2 3 Kick 1 2 3 Kick)
but with bullies in tow :) :)
