5) The football season is almost here. Are you excited or disheartened? I don't watch football anymore (still on strike from football for them letting Michael Vick play after he was caught dog fighting!)

8) Have you ever been on a weird diet? What one and how did it work? Oh goodness I've tried any and all diets I've heard about and normally can lose weight but fall off the wagon so to speak so would gain it all back

9) What’s the official motto of your state or province? I live in California and from what I understand it is .... Eureka I have found it!   which comes from the goldrush days

10) Do you like to shop online?  I am a terrible home body and would do all my shopping online to avoid having to leave the house if it was possible

11) What’s your dog’s reaction to thunderstorms?  Diesel barks and tries to find the noise and Molly & Ally follow his lead .... one day he will catch that darn thunder and teach it a lesson LOL

 Tomorrow is my boys' 16th birthday and my mother in law's 82nd birthday so celebrating!

 used to have it delivered - stopped. Used to read it online for free and now they want to charge for it, so nope

 Just the slim fast one and yes it did work until I went off it

 I don't know what the state's official motto is, but people around here call it "the orange barrel state".

1) Did you watch the GOP Convention? How much of it?

 I used to watch both conventions gavel to gavel. I even covered one for a newspaper and got to sit in the press section. It was a surreal experience. But this time, the lack of civility on the part of what seems to be everyone has me disheartened. I didn't watch the GOP and probably won't watch the Dems, either. (The one I saw live – I got to see Aretha Franklin sing the National Anthem.)

No plans. I'm probably working on Sunday. I'm thinking of sitting outside on the deck and drinking tropical drinks on Monday.

 We have a portable firepit. They are very popular in MN.

 Yes. I have, maybe 30 watches. I switch them around like jewelry. I bought most of them at yard sales for a couple of dollars, 'cause people are too lazy to go and get the battery changed.

 I'm not looking forward to this.

 I get the local paper at my front door and read national papers on line.

Three. Maybe four. On a good day, up to six.

 I tried Atkins once back in the early 1970s and it made me so spaced out that I seriously couldn't find my way around my own apartment. Since then, nothing weird.

 L'ETOILE DU NORD. Seriously, It's in French. It means 'Star of the North.'

 Never. A couple of times I had to buy continuing ed classes for work and they wouldn't let me pay any other way, but otherwise....

 Snoring and ignoring.

Yes, just enough to realize it was a waste of time to watch it.  I don't need to see more jaw flapping by used car salesmen. I would like each candidate have to submit their business plans with specifics on how they are going to get this economy back on track.  When we go for a job interview we have to do more then just talk a bunch of crap to get the job and if we don't perform we get fired.  So how about some straight talkin.  Our political system is broken and until we the people demand more out of our politician this country is going to continue down the slope it's been headed.

  Housecleaning and yard work, sounds like fun huh!  Fair and rodeo maybe.

No,  I used to wear my 25 year watch all the time.  Hum, wonder where it is.  Now with cell phones we don't need watches.

6 - Stopped newspaper delivery a couple years ago. I read it online. I prefer a newspaper in hand but they could not manage to get it delivered early enough for me to read it before work

 NO! And we are so excited about it. A friend is coming to stay with us and we have another friend in from London so we will just be enjoying NYC :-)

 No :-( One non-perk about living in NYC, but that is a MUST for our future house.
