We just got a ham that we had the butcher slice some nice steaks off of it, and then we have the 'butt end' that I've pretty well cleaned off -
Its the size of a coke can - thickness and lenght - do we give it to Gizmo? or ? ? ? I hate to waste it cause she's licking her lips, and I dont recall ever seeing 'HAM' or 'PORK' on a dogfood bag as a protein source.
anyone?

I love ham
But I don't eat it, or feed it to my dogs.
The reason is they inject so much stuff into a ham to "cure" it.
Salt and sodium something or the other, .
Also it's also so dense as a meat, or rich if you prefer, very much of it might cause runs.
Now the bone, I wouldn't give it either as it might be too hard and chip or break the dogs tooth.
I know some folks do, but weight bearing bones from large mammals are pretty hard and dense.
Mine love chicken gizzards raw, [cheap] and beef liver cut up and frozen for snacks. Easy on them too, as they, especally the liver is rich, I only give a small piece a day, and keep it frozen.

Mean people still suck
I would think if the bone is
I would think if the bone is raw you could let her chew on it for a little while, should be good for her teeth..but if its cooked it may splinter. I got my dog a raw beef knuckle bone which is a pretty big bone and he chewed on that for a while the other day. But I am no expert! I am just putting in my two cents. Maybe google it?
Remember No cooked bones
Sorry, I missed that, but no cooked bones ever is my rule!

Survey says *BZZZZZ* Bad idea :) no Ham Bone then :)
yea, they are pumped with a bunch of stuff to 'cure' the Hams, so I pitched the bone, I didnt want to take a chance :)
but I do appreciated the input :) :)

No - No cooked bones
and ham isn't great for dogs.
they call those big bones WRECK bones
because they do chip teeth.
I see you have already decided no to the ham bone-and I agree, not a good idea.
