Do any of your bullies do this? Oliver always sleeps by/on the couch in the living room when he is home alone so is able to see the front door and wake up and greet us when we come home. A couple weeks ago, he would wake up, grab whatever toy was close to him, and then come greet us. Its so funny because he is very adament about making sure he has something in his mouth even though he is half asleep and might take a couple seconds to grab the toy all while hes body is doing the bulldog shake because he is so excited. Hes done this every single time Ive come home now. Hope he keeps doing it because its very amusing.
Winnie did this
Winnie did this anytime somebody would come to our house. She would look for something as soon as she hear the car door or saw someone walk in. She would look for a toy before coming to greet anyone. We thought she was saying look what I got, look what I got. We thought it was funny. So it's nice to know that other bulldogs do it too.

My Bullie doesn't but my Boxer does
Cash, my boxer will run and grab a toy when my friend Cheri drops by. When another friend drops by, he grabs a big stick. Vickie used to come by and feed my chickens and collect the eggs (something she loved to do, so I let her), anyway, she used to grab a walking stick when she came into the yard to keep Cash from jumping up and knocking her over (she'd had a brain aneurism and her balance was bad), imagine her suprise one day when she picked up her walking stick and Cash met her at the gate with his own big stick in his mouth. After that, anytime he saw Vickie, he'd grab a stick.
Our kids, such fun animals.
Sophie does sometimes...
Depends on what she feels like! It is a cute habit though, totally funny when she grabs a toy and runs around growling with it and tossing it around:-)
Amy and Sophia
Buddy does that.
He has to find his nylabone ring to greet us or say "hello". it's adorable :)
Doyle does this
He grabs whatever is closest and then prances around with it
What a great greeting
to come home too!
Kofi opens one eye, and then closes it again :)
Mine doesn't do it.
Loulou will set up and look at you. while on her comfort thron but she will not do that. she waits for you to come to her as to say, I'm here. I've sat up. then i tell her to get up and come she will shake as they do but not much.My baby girl is just not going to put her self out. Bubba my Amercian bullie will come running with all tha shakes in the world, never with a toy. But how cute some bullies do this.
Karonelaine
gracie does it!!
Every single time anyone comes in the door she grabs a toy and puts it in her mouth - it's so freaking cute!!! Even if she's half asleep she will find a toy and put it in her mouth!
My dad's lab did that - cutest thing!
It was like he was saying, "so nice to see you, here's a gift to thank you for dropping by!" I loved that!!
Beatrix comes and runs to say
Beatrix comes and runs to say hi and get scritches, and THEN goes running off to find a toy to bring over. Apparently, belly rubs get priority for her.
Oh yes! Look what I got!
Onslow does it ALL THE TIME It is cute. =)
YES! LOL
PollyAnna greets us with a toy every day in full body wiggle. If she get excited and forgets one she will back up and look for one to share. I love bullies!
