Hey there! Sorry for the delayed response.
Fatboy has not had the surgery yet. I went to take him last weekend. I wasn't aware the freeway exit I normally take was closed. I had to take the opposite exit so I could turn around. As soon as I did this, I saw how backed up the freeway was going in the direction I was trying to go. It went for miles. There was no way I was going to sit in that parking lot to try and get to the vet. There was no telling how long I'd be sitting on the freeway and the vet has a cut off time of when to check in for surgery (walk-ins).
The Fats and I ended up picking up breakfast at Starbucks instead. All the baristas love him there, so it was a pleasant morning altogether. We will be going back another weekend, and we'll definitely be taking another freeway to get there. I will definitely keep everyone updated when I do take him.
