Doyle Update
Submitted by Tim and Forever... on August 20, 2012 - 7:51pmAs a few who check in on the medical board know, Doyle and I were having a hard time recently. He wasn't eating and with CHF he was just getting slower and slower. I tried so many fresh cooked foods, fresh dog foods anything and he wouldn't eat.
Then I popped a can of Natural Balance chicken and he went nuts like a normal dog. Ate it with fervor. It was only one of several different brands that I had bought to try so out I went and got a dozen cans. He's been chowing down ever since. His personality shows through once again and although he's limited, I'm so happy. He's actually looking at me now like " where is my food ?" There must be doggie crack in that stuff I tell ya, but I don't care. I know it could change on a dime.
I have to take him to the vet tomorrow to be tapped because is belly is a bit too large with fluid, but I am so much more optimistic for a few more months with my boy.

Such a sweet face. Sorry you're going through this but I'm glad he's doing better. I always feel better too when my Fatboy goes nuts for his food... lets me know he's A-OK :)

glad to hear Doyle is doing okay and hope he continues to do good. Has he been to the doggie beach this year? We still haven't made it over there.

Yes!
We were at the beach a few times during the awful heat wave. Haven't been over there in a while though, since his diagnosis. He's peppier now though, so maybe he'll enjoy a trip over there soon. He might just sit up in the grass and watch.
