I'll gladly pay to have them done, the noise seemed to bother her, and I dont trust myself w/ clippers (I got to close on Tori once, and hurt her :( ) so I'll pay the couple of bucks for the groomer to do it :)

I don't trust myself to clip or dremmel at home. And, Winston "fights" too much with me and the Dude to make it safe. We go to a local shop where one of the guys there and Winston are, I swear, BFFs. If his buddy is off the day we go in Winston will SEARCH the entire shop looking for him...it's really sweet actually.
The guy just cuddles Winston in his lap and dremmel's his nails...and Winston gives him kisses the whole time. :) It's worth the cost watching those two play together and to have the professional do his nails.

we got a nice cordless, but I would not spend money on one that is not the actual Dremel brand. It takes getting used to, we even sit on the floor and play with Kippah while it is in our hand and running. It takes time to get them used to it, my Boston girl gave us NO problems, the boy is still freaked out, and Kippah is not fond, but will tolerate it. Now at the Petsmart she will let her trainer do it no problem....

I originally purchased a cheapy from WalMart that only lasted anout 2 years before the battery wouldn't hold a charge long enough to do 4 feet. So I bought a 10V Dremel from Sears...that I love. That battery stays charged forever...even when you aren't using it. You use the large brown colored file. If I haven't done the nails for a few too many weeks and they are a little long then I usually click nails first then dremel. Here's a link that might be helpful. http://homepages.udayton.edu/~jmerenski1/doberdawn/dremel/dremel.html
Dooley is so cute!
I'm not much help. We tried the dremmel and the noise scares him so back to the clippers we went. Hope he is ok with it being that he is young :)
