Adult food

is just fine for bulldog puppies.  What is the breeder feeding?  Stay with that until the transition to your new home.  There is enough changes going on with the puppy then to immediatley change food.  After you've had the puppy a few weeks then you can change to something else if you want over a 2 week time period.  why not feed what the breeder is feeding.  If this is a reputable breeder then they likely have the puppy on a good food that works for them and it might be a life stages food.  So if it's working then don't switch.  Ask your breeder what they recommend.

There is no need to feed an allergy type food to puppies.  Grain free is fine and there are many, many good choices of grain free food. TOTW, Acana, Orijen, Natural Balance, Now just to name a few.  then you have the Kirkland brand from Costco that works for many breeders I know.  Some freed Purina Pro Plan and others feed Pedigree.  So find what works for the puppy.  If the puppy gets itchy, licks it's feet, sheds alot, hair falls out, then you likely needf to try a different food.  But typically you will not see food allergy issues with a puppy.

Ask the breeder about allergy issues in their lines.  Hopefully you've already asked this question when interviewing breeders as a potential puppy buyer before deciding on a breeder to buy from.

Goo luck!

What I feed

I feed Raw.  When I was feeding kibble I fed Grain Free "Now"  made by Petcurean. I don't have food allergies with my dogs and they did great on this kibble.

For some reason...not sure why I decided to try pre-packaged raw from "Natures Variety".  I fed this as well as kibble for a couple of years, then because of the cost (avg $5 per lb) and adding a dog, to 3, I just couldn't afford this cost.  So I joined a Raw food co-op and now I feed raw.  I will not feed bones, they have to be ground.  I do give them bones to chew on to keedp their teeth and gums healthy.  My freezer is full of Beef, Venison, Duck, Turkey, Sardines, Chicken Necks, Tripe and Organ and soon Lamb.  So my dogs eat real well.

You are right, bulldogs pups...

do not need puppy food.  We always put ours right on adult food.  We feed salmon/sweet potato, it has the right amount of protein (25%) for a growing pup and the grain free helps prevent allergies.

Dog food

There are no allergy issues in breeders line and he is currently feeding royal  canine I am not overly familiar with that but feed my other bulldog and two German shorthair Natures Domain a Kirkland brand and have great results it is salmon formula and if the new addition does well I will stay with it as coats and over all a excellent choice

salmon Kirkland

Yes, that is the Costco one that many here use, I tried it and I found that Kippah does not like salmon and actually lost wieght on it, and she is still a puppy.  There are alot of great grain free foods out there, we took Kippah off of puppy food at 12 weeks and she is going great now at 8 month
