We didnt - what did the vet suggest?

We kept an eye on Gizmo's incisions (through both the Spay and the Tail Surgery) but I dont think we put anything over the counter on those areas -

We looked for any red swelling areas  or any area that 'felt hot' of course any thing 'abnormal' pus etc.

Can he reach the incision?

Can he reach the incision? I'm just thinking when Emma had stitches I would put some itch cream to help her as she would try scratching on furniture or rug, what ever she could reach.

As for the throwing up, do you think it's a reaction to the anethestic?

Good luck. It's hard watching our best friends in any kind of distress.

we didnt

the vet told us not to really put anything on Dozers incisions, if he got itchy we took one of my husbands shirts and put it on him like a reg shirt so he didnt have to reach or scratch for it. but other then that he really didnt lick or anything, He was a little loopy bug being on the pain medication.
