Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .
Dog food
Brother wouldn't get up one morning to eat, that's when I knew dog food was no good, like some people say.
I never had a dog refuse to eat. He would eat when he got ready. And he wasn't happy.
I feed raw now. A lot of chicken hind quarters, beef liver for treats, [but some liver each day too much causes runs] and chicken gizzards.
Also some trimmings from beef we eat, but not much, no pork yet.
I know it's strange at first, but it's easier than you would think. I feed outside and give the food a couple of chopps with a hatchet so they don't hork it up and steal from one another....lol Here is B
rother checking out a chicken foot, I picked up at a raw canine food lace. No hormones.
Mean people still suck
Raw
You do want to feed a variety of meats and organs when feeding a raw diet. Just chicken is not going to provide all the nutritional value that is needed.
Diamond
unfortunately has a problem with there processing facility. They have had numerous recalls.
That is why I fed "Now" when I was feeding kibble. It is made by PetCurean a small Canadian company that didn't outsource the production so they had good quality control. I also like the fact that they didn't use "meal like chicken meal" which is commonly all kind of parts and rendered meats. They specifically state on the bags that there is no rendered meats. My dog did well on it. But I haven't fed kibble now for at least 2/3 years.
