Desitin for nose rope?

I noticed a smell to my bulldogs nose wrinkle..its not that bad yet but I would like to fix it now. I just washed both sides of his face with warm water and a wash cloth. Should I put desitin on after I wash it? Or some sort of powder? I want to try to keep the moisture away so it can clear up. And for long term, is there any type of baby wipe that I could wipe his face with on a daily basis to keep it cleaner?

desitin is good....i was also

desitin is good....i was also told canesten and/or

cornstarch and water(pasty)...i know this was hard for me cos

archie hated anything near his nose...the only person who ever accomplished

that feat was his groomer...folds under the "rope" have to be dried well...
