Well I followed advice and finally found some Aquaphor (helps when you look in the right place) I came home put it first on Diesel he stood there let me apply it didnt complain or pull away and was just kinda frozen...then I applied it to Molly's nose she didn't pull away wasn't exacatly sure of what mom was doing then soon as I stopped she started to lick it off when I stopped her from doing that she threw a fit and started rubbing her nose on the floor, of course Diesel saw and I could almost see the lightbulb go on over his head and he started following sisters lead .... well at least my carpet won't be dry, cracked or irritated anymore LOL ....... any advice on how to make them let this stuff work??? please please please

When I put it on my guys...
I distract the right away with a treat or two, make them sit and wait for the treat and they will foget about their noses.
Whenever I need to put vasoline on Fatboy's nose, I always
apply right before he goes to bed. You know, I let him lay down first....then when he's half way asleep, I apply as fast as I can lol Fatboy is usually too tired and too lazy to put up a fight or even try to lick any of it off.
Fatboy aka Stinky :)
can see a difference even with only 1 application!
both of their noses are still rough & cracked looking but at least it looks less dry, I know it will take time to get it all better but I like that their noses look less dry so its a good start :-) Now if I can get Molly to not lick it off, her tongue is so long LOL but at least I can let her on my lap and apply it and she wont rub it off on the carpet ... loved on Diesel and he forgot I put it on him so found his aquaphor weakness LOL

can you see the difference?

it works great...but Farley likes to rub his off too!!
I usually do the treat thing as well, but I also have deer antlers that I use for "speical occasions" such as this to keep him super occupied and not even thinking about his nose!! :)
I have the same problem....
I've been using snout smoother, the minute I pick up the tin, Zimmer runs. And when I can finally get to him to put it on his nose, he does the same thing, rubs it on the carpet & couch. I'll have to try the treat trick!

Just rub
in as much as you can before they start rubbing. They all rub on the furniture or carpet, but it will have the nose all pretty after a couple of applications. You might try putting it on right before you feed them, to distract them from rubbing or right before bed time and crate them if you don't want Aquaphor on your carpet.
